As a courtesy to all of participants we want to let you know that we have just been informed that the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) “GRCA will not be permitting events during the 2021 summer season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, events will be considered for fall 2021.”

Please be sure to check out our website for a “new” event that we are hoping to launch this fall.  A 2-4-6 hour series, affiliated with multiple local GRCA locations.

That being said, we unfortunately regret to inform you that we will be obligated to cancel the 2021 Conquer the Canuck Marathon Ultra Trail Weekend this year and defer the event to June 11 & 12, 2022, due to Covid-19 restrictions.  Since we have already incurred several race expenses in anticipation that the event would have been a go, we must adhere to our “Covid-19 policy” outlined on our official website. Registration has been officially closed for the 2021 event.

If you choose to have your participation deferred to 2022 then no action is required by you.

If you are opting for the 50% refund of the Registration Fee you paid, upon registration, please reach out to me directly and I will work with you to make this happen, in a timely manner. Please email me at with a Subject line of 50% Refund Option. If opting for the 50% refund. Please reply by May 31, 2021, otherwise it will be assumed that you are opting to be deferred to our 2022 event, at no additional cost to you.

With many of our events being “sold out”, we are hopeful that most of you will opt to defer to next year in order to ensure your spot in next year’s event and not incur any additional registration expenses.

We are also hopeful that with many vaccines making it into arms that we will soon have this Pandemic under control and be able to move forward with our new “normal” and begin to be able to participate in larger group events again!

Stay safe and continue your training!

Happy trail running,

Tony Martin, Race Director
